ARUS Visited The Birmingham Centre For Railway Research And Education (BCRRE) and Birmingham Rail Innovation Cluster (BRIC) in the United Kingdom.
On May 26, Anadolu Rail Transport Systems Cluster (ARUS) visited the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE), a member of the European Railway Clusters Initiative (ERCI), of which ARUS is also a member, as well as the Birmingham Rail Innovation Cluster (BRIC). Both organizations are based in the United Kingdom and carry out activities aimed at advancing rail systems, with a particular focus on research and development.
During the meetings, information was exchanged about the activities of BCRRE and BRIC, while a presentation was given on ARUS's vision, mission and ongoing activities. The center's laboratories were also visited, providing an opportunity to examine its ongoing research and development activities on site.
Potential areas of cooperation between the two organizations were also discussed, along with opportunities for developing future collaboration and joint project activities.
In addition, meetings were held with Turkish students pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Birmingham who are also working as researchers at the center.
