Our Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, visited OSTİM on June 29, 2026, and held a productive consultation meeting with OSTİM Chairman of the Board Orhan Aydın and the Board of Directors.
Founded in 1967 and set to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2027, OSTİM has made significant contributions to the establishment of new Organized Industrial Zones (OIZs) in Ankara, the strengthening of the capital’s production capacity, and the transformation of Ankara into a major industrial city with 14 OIZs today. OSTİM has also served as a role model for the establishment of numerous OIZs across Türkiye.
In addition, through clustering projects carried out among companies operating within OSTİM across various sectors, as well as UR-GE projects implemented in coordination with our Ministry of Trade, OSTİM provides its members with highly valuable guidance, information and training.
Through these distinctive characteristics and activities, OSTİM serves as a source of knowledge and experience not only for existing and potential OIZs across Türkiye, but also for the establishment and development of OIZs in many Islamic countries, functioning almost like a university in this field.
With OSTİM Technical University within its structure, OSTİM also leads the development of high-quality engineering education and the training of thousands of engineering students within the framework of university-industry cooperation.
