ASELSAN, with its unique products and systems that it is developing in the fields of rail vehicles and signaling;
Traction and power distribution,
Train control and management,
Mainline and urban signaling
ASELSAN offers smart, efficient, safe and reliable solutions in its fields, including Traction Motor Control/Driver Units and Auxiliary Power Units.
The company carries out system development, system design, production, integration, testing, and commissioning activities in the fields of Train Control and Management Systems and Mainline/Urban Signaling Systems.
CESUR (Cer Motor Control/Driver Unit)
We design and manufacture new generation traction motor drives with modular architecture, incorporating IGBT technology and DSP-based control electronics, for light rail vehicles, subways, locomotives, and regional trains. Thanks to advanced and flexible control algorithms, different AC motor types can be controlled with high efficiency and precision. Regenerative braking, slippage/slide correction, parallel AC motor control, redundant operation, high current and voltage protection, and high-efficiency switching techniques are some of the uniquely developed algorithms. CESUR, with its high efficiency rate, has been developed in accordance with rail vehicle standards such as EN50155, EN50125, EN50163, EN50121, EN61287, and EN61377.
Auxiliary Power Units
Auxiliary power units developed for light rail vehicles, subways, locomotives, and regional trains provide power to various AC and DC loads on the vehicle by being fed from the input voltage. Developed by ASELSAN, these units, incorporating SiC and IGBT technology, are designed and manufactured to be protected against low/high frequency, low/high voltage, voltage-frequency ratio deviation, continuously repeated load starts, sudden changes in line voltage and loads, excessive harmonics and phase losses due to supply voltage interruption.
Train Control and Management System (TCMS)
Within the scope of the Train Control and Management System, computer hardware, software, and control algorithms with high safety and reliability levels are being developed, which are among the most important components of rail transport vehicles.
Designed with a modular structure, the Train Control and Management System computer has high safety and reliability levels as defined by accepted standards for rail transport vehicles (such as IEC61508, EN50155); its architecture, control, safety and reliability algorithms, hardware and embedded software are all developed entirely from scratch.
The system, consisting of original hardware, algorithms, and software, controls and manages the braking, traction, door, air conditioning (HVAC), passenger information, and other subsystems of the trains using the TKYS Computer.
Main Line and Urban Signaling Systems
Rail transit signaling systems, developed based on Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) technology, provide cost-effectiveness, safety, security, efficiency, punctuality, and high transport capacity for today's modern and busy urban rail transit systems.
Safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions are offered with onboard ERTMS level 1 and 2 systems developed for mainline rail vehicles.
