Kentkart

Kentkart is an information technology company that produces and develops smart card systems for fare collection, vehicle tracking, passenger information, and in-vehicle camera recording for the public transportation sector. Founded in 1998, it implemented its first project in Izmir in March 1999. It is known for consistently achieving firsts through its high technology and intensive R&D efforts. Since December 2012, it has been an R&D center approved by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. The R&D center employs 76 personnel, 55 of whom are engineers. In addition to numerous R&D projects, it has 2 projects accepted by Euripides and over 10 projects approved by TEYDEB (Turkish Technology Development Authority). All software and hardware production and installation are carried out with 100% domestic capital by Turkish engineers and technicians. The company has over 250 employees in total.

Since its establishment, with 12,000 vehicles and 40,000 pieces of equipment, it has reached 1.8 million passengers annually and 7.5 million transactions daily, providing mobile mobility to these passengers with 16 million smart cards. These remarkable figures have positioned it as one of the leading companies in its sector.

With its innovative solutions, Kentkart received the "Best Transportation Application" award in 2000 at the SESAMES awards, which take place annually at the Cartes fair in Paris. Subsequently, it was a finalist in the "Best Transportation Application" category in 2007, the "Best Software Application" category in 2010, and in 2012 with its new product, the KentTablet Driver Computer.

In 2014, Kentkart once again proved its leadership in innovation in the sector by receiving the “Best Overall Service Implementation” award at the Transport Ticketing event in London. In 2015, at a platform organized by Frost & Sullivan, one of the world's largest Growth Partnership firms, which recognizes innovative and groundbreaking applications in transportation, Kentkart won the “Smart Systems Product Mix Strategy in Transportation 2015 European Leadership Award”.
