RAYDER is an association of industrialists and academics who produce vehicles/products/engineering/services for the railway sector.

RAYDER works to organize our railway industry professionals, solve the problems they face, create/develop railway standards that take into account the conditions of our country, ensure the product certification of its members, and promote them in Turkey and abroad.

RAYDER is the only member from Turkey of UNIFE (International Union of Railway Manufacturers). As in the rest of the world, railways and rail transport systems have been prioritized in Turkey in this new era, and their development has been accepted as a state policy. With the support of the current government's incentive laws, infrastructure and sectoral investments continue to increase. In line with these policies, Turkey aims to invest approximately 50 billion USD in rail systems over the next 10 years to meet the needs of freight and passenger transport via High-Speed Rail, the Marmaray Project, and the Metro/Tramway vehicle requirements of our municipalities.

To improve railway technology in Turkey, it is urgently necessary to support the production of rail system infrastructure equipment and rail system vehicles by domestic manufacturers, to further strengthen the small but advanced rail system sub-industry, and to establish a planned and effective education system.

In order to support the development of our domestic industry operating in the railway sector, RAYDER creates strategies and policies in line with these goals and works to ensure that our infrastructure and vehicle manufacturing industry develops in parallel with today's international conditions.

In addition to these studies, RAYDER;

  • It is leading the efforts to domestically produce metro and tram vehicles.

  • Supports efforts to expedite the enactment of the "New Railway Law," which will provide momentum to the private sector through liberalization opportunities.

  • Participates in and supports the establishment of a Rail Systems R&D Center and Test Track in Eskişehir.

  • Works to establish Railway and Rail Systems Departments in our universities.

  • Supports the establishment of a General Directorate of Urban Rail Systems within the Ministry of Transport.

  • Works on creating a structure similar to the "Undersecretariat of Defense Industry (SSM)" within the Ministry of Transport, arguing that a "Undersecretariat of Transportation Industry (USM)" to be established by law would lead the transportation sector and provide a significant impetus to its development.

  • Participates in the Berlin INNOTRANS Railway Fair, the world's largest rail systems fair, every year and supports the participation of many Turkish companies.

  • Prepares the "Turkish Railway Industry Catalog," which will be published for the first time in Turkey in both Turkish and English.
