Rapidly growing cities in Turkey have intra-city rail system lines.
Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Sakarya, Samsun, …….
High energy costs, lack of legal regulations, absence of national standards and criteria, the small number of civil society organizations representing the sector, and the lack of a common platform for sharing sectoral knowledge and experience, etc., have made the establishment of the Turkish Rail Systems Operators Association (TÜRSİD) a necessity.
The Turkish Association of Rail System Operators (TÜRSİD) was founded in May 2012.
