We attended the GSI SLV-TR seminar on Joining Technologies in the Defense Industry. The inclusion of non-metallic materials such as composites, in addition to metallic materials like steel and aluminum, in our country's rapidly developing defense industry, has once again highlighted the importance of Joining Technologies. While Welding Techniques maintain their importance in the defense industry, Bonding Technology and Additive Manufacturing Techniques are also increasingly taking their place in production processes. The increasing variety of materials in sectors such as energy, defense industry, aviation, automotive, and railway makes the inclusion of new techniques in production processes inevitable. This event covered the most up-to-date joining techniques for different material groups, and important information was presented on all three technologies: Welded Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, and Bonding.
