In June 2019, ARUS, along with a consortium of 7 ERCI member clusters, applied to the Cosme Cluster Excellence Programme, funded by the European Union. Out of hundreds of applications worldwide, ARUS and ERCI's joint Cosme Cluster Excellence project application was accepted from a total of 10 approved project calls. In this pilot project, an innovative methodology will be developed and tested to increase the adoption of Advanced Technologies (AI, Blockchain, Photonics, IoT, Advanced Materials, etc.) by Railway Supply Industry SMEs. The project also has the support of 30 European institutions, including JU Shift2Rail, research centers specializing in railways and mobility, various EIT-European Innovation Communities, numerous Digital Innovation Centers, and the EEN-Enterprise Europe Network.
